Sistema para asistir a la marcha de Honda basado en su robot ASIMO. Aparentemente este sistema estabiliza la pelvis y asiste al paso. Aunque muchas veces se piensa que nada cambia en rehabilitación la verdad es que se producen muchos adelantos que sin embargo no llegan a la clínica habitual o tardan en hacerlo mucho. Para evitar este retraso es importante conocer los últimos avances que se produzcan en cualquier país y estar preparados para desrrollar y comenzar a aplicar algunas novedades. Es necesario un ambiente que favorezca la innovación.

 Lo importante de este robot es que su marcha es mucho más similar a la humana que la de otros robots, podemos decir que está bioinspirado en la biomecánica humana. Esto además lo hace mucho más eficiente desde el punto de vista energético. En España hay un modelo de este robot (que pude ver hace unos meses) en el Insitituto de Automática Industrial que depende del CSIC. Tambíen hace muy poco a salido en REDES el programa de Eduardo Punset, con robots como este se puede comprender mejor la marcha humana ya que al imitarla hay que hacer modelos matemáticos.
